Respiratory Therapist Davenport

Kelly’s Home Medical—Davenport, a division of CarePro Health Services, has an immediate opportunity for a knowledgeable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our care-giving team!

In this role you will be responsible for educating and demonstrating the use of respiratory equipment to patients and monitoring their use and compliance according to prescribed provider orders. This position is full-time with scheduled hours Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

What You’ll Do:

  • Follow physician’s orders, meet with patients to dispense PAP Therapy equipment and supplies
  • Provide support to ventilator patients through hospital discharge to home and ongoing support needs
  • Assist with in-home patient visits and equipment set up
  • Troubleshoot equipment and/or patient problems with respiratory equipment
  • Conduct follow-up calls with patients regarding their respiratory equipment 
  • Work with hospital discharge staff on patient training of equipment
  • Consult with physician when necessary
  • Maintain patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and patient notes
  • Complete required documentation promptly and accurately
  • Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must possess an active Iowa Respiratory License
  • 1+ years of recent experience in a home health, outpatient, or medical office setting
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet required 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of therapy procedures for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric
  • Is required to be reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator with problem-solving skills
  • Should be dependable and motivated to grow in a long-term role
  • Must have valid driver's license and be insurable
