Home Medical Training Specialist

CarePro Home Medical is seeking a full-time Training Specialist to deliver impactful training for both new hires and existing staff.

In this role, you will collaborate with management to boost the skills and performance of employees in alliance with division requirements and to meet organizational needs.

This position is scheduled Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. Our ideal  candidate will be dependable and seeking long-term employment, as well as possess outstanding communication skills and be able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.

Duties of the position include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Partners with Home Medical team management to support new hire training
  • Provides ongoing training and support to current staff
  • Assists with development and implementation of process improvements and training materials such as guides, checklists, and procedures
  • Coordinates training events with vendors and third-party training and development facilitators
  • Assesses training effectiveness and maintains training records
  • Stays up to date with store products and services and possesses thorough understanding of Company inventory procedures
  • Occasional travel required--position will be based in Cedar Rapids office but travel to support other Home Medical locations is required

Position Requirements:  College Degree in business, training or healthcare preferred; Minimum 1-3 years related experience and/or combination of education and experience; Microsoft Office experience including excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet skills required; Knowledge of home medical equipment and/or respiratory services and experience with third-party insurance benefits and insurance authorization including Medicare and Medicaid preferred; Must possess solid technical aptitude and be passionate about helping people learn and grow.
